City staff will be holding a community meeting tomorrow evening to discuss potential public uses for the Foundry Building located at 101 Rogers St. The meeting will be held Tuesday, June 24th at the Multicultural Arts Center, 41 Second St., Cambridge from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
The Foundry was transferred to the City of Cambridge as mitigation for construction and density impacts at the adjacent Alexandria Real Estate development. The City is now in the process of planning preliminary renovations to the building to ensure that it complies with health and safety codes and accessibility laws for public buildings. At the same time, the City Council and The Community Development Department (CDD) are working with the public to gather input and develop plans for how the Foundry will be used for the benefit of the Cambridge community.
