On April 16, one day after the Boston Marathon bombings, dozens of our neighbors gathered at the King Open School to discuss a proposal to run ethanol trains through our communities. At that meeting, we promised to reschedule MassDOT’s presentation of its ethanol safety study, and today, I’m pleased to announce that we’ve finalized our next meeting.
Next Tuesday, June 4, 2013, MassDOT will present the findings of its ethanol safety study to the public at the King Open School from 5:30-7:30 pm. Representatives from MassDOT will present their safety study and then take 10-15 minutes of questions from the public. Following this question-and-answer session, MassDOT will depart and members of the public will have the opportunity to engage in an open dialogue with their elected representatives.
We had a good turnout at the last meeting, and I hope even more of our neighbors come out for this event.
