The thrill of victory: two groups of CRLS students will enjoy a trip to Costa Rica. Image via EF Education First.
Yesterday, CRLS students showed off their creativity and their problem solving skills at the EF Glocal Challenge. Students worked in teams to come up with proposals to make our world a little greener—and to win a trip to Costa Rica. The winning teams focused on reducing paper consumption and adopting green roofs and walls for Cambridge buildings, ideas they’ll be able to discuss with former Vice President Al Gore during their trip to the tropics.
I was honored to serve as a judge for this event, and I’m proud of the ingenuity of CRLS students. This is the kind of forward thinking we need to foster in our kids, and I’d like to thank EF Education First for helping to organize the Glocal Challenge.
