Students Impacted by Closing of American Career Institute Should Contact Attorney General

American Career Institute (ACI), a for-profit college with a campus in Cambridge, abruptly closed its doors yesterday afternoon, leaving some paying students wondering what to do next. The Attorney General’s office is urging students affected by ACI’s closure to call the Public Inquiry and Assistance Center’s Consumer Hotline at (617)-727-8400 for further assistance. The Hotline is open weekdays from 10am-4pm, and students can also file a complaint online.

The circumstances surrounding the college’s closure are still a bit murky, but a report in the Boston Business Journal suggests that ACI recently had a dispute with its creditors. If you’ve been affected by ACI’s closure, please contact the Attorney General’s office and explain your situation.
